Guest Post :: DailyCandy just announced the launch of its 3rd annual Start Small, Go Big campaign, an innovative program which draws on DailyCandy’s unique ability to discover up-and-coming small businesses and help them grow into “the next big thing.”
The Start Small Go Big program allows women-run small businesses the chance to win a feature in DailyCandy’s newsletter and a trip to New York for a day of mentoring from successful entrepreneurs including founders of Fresh, Dwell Studio founder Christiane LeMeiux and the founders of home décor site One Kings Lane. Also, as part of a major integration within NBCU, MSNBC and CNBC will partner with Daily Candy for the first time to promote the campaign via on-air programming.
Past winners of the contest have gone on to sell their clothes in high-end boutiques nationwide, scale their operations from local to national with food products now being sold in Dean & Deluca and Whole Foods, launch e-commerce sites and more.
The key to winning Start Small, Go Big: each product or service should make life a little sweeter, just like DailyCandy. To enter, winner wannabes should visit dailycandy.com/startsmallgobig, fill out their key business info, select a category (Fashion, Home, Food & Drink, Health & Beauty, and Digital & Tech) and finish these five statements:

On August 8th, DailyCandy editors will unveil the top 18 finalists (three from each category) and invite America to vote (daily!) for their favorites. On September 4, after the votes have been tallied, six winners will be announced.
