How Every Entrepreneur Can Find A Fashionable Fall Wardrobe

best fashion, entrepreneurs tasteGuest Post by Suze Solari :: Even though it’s October, I’m still going crazy over the September best fashion magazines. It’s the big month for fashion magazines and fall of best  fashion events.  I was giddy when I pulled Vogue, Bazaar, InStyle and more from the post, and I’m still relishing each and every page of delicious best fashion news. I want everything on these pages: An RL faux fur car coat, tweed riding pants, alligator satchel; the Vince black sheath dress, I must own.  Surely a leather trim Burberry trench could fly under the radar of my Chase checking account?

But I remind myself that I’m not a celebrity. That I can’t afford to buy every new fall trend pictured here. And there are many. I need only shop my closet and add a few key pieces to create a bounty of chic ensembles for the season. It’s a big job, but where to begin?  Don’t panic: I have a few steps to get you dressed in style.

1. Have a closet that reflects your lifestyle.  With the right basic pieces, you will be empowered to create a myriad of outfits with ease, comfort and joy every day.

2. Evaluate what you have in your closet twice a year. Do it in the spring and fall, since these seasons present the biggest shift in how we dress.

3. Reflect on each item. Is the silhouette & fit flattering to your body shape.  Do you feel confident and comfortable?  Be honest. Remove your emotional attachment to items that just don’t suit you, or cause any stress trying to style.  Bring these things into your local resale shop or donation center and then examine all shoes and boots for repairs and cleaning.

4. Add a few impact items for the season that are a combo of what I call “the high/ low.”  Make a budget for 2 or 3 “high” investments, such as a dynamic trench coat, tall riding boots in black & brown, and a stunning pair of statement earrings, or necklace. Then add in some “low”-priced trendy items, such as a leopard pencil skirt, and a bold color blocked or brocade dress and blouse.  Additional ideas for daywear and the weekend include military styles, tweed, and anything in or trimmed in leather, especially suede & leather zip booties with stacked heels.  For evening, there are 2 main colors you will see for the fall: Bordeaux and emerald green in suits and dresses, presented in an array of prints and graphic florals.

There is something for everyone in this seasons trends, and this is what gets me so excited about dressing for the fall. If you crave more best fashion news and advice, you’re welcome to read my blog in the Wednesday Journal.
