Do you ever feel like you know you can achieve so much more?

I was overworked at a big law firm and honestly completely miserable. For 4 years.

I just couldn’t bring myself to leave, even though I always thought there was something more for me in life. When I had my daughter, I took a good look at my life and my career, and I thought to myself, “Is this what I’m going to teach my baby? That you have to grind it out just to make a living in life?” And the answer was NO.

Just begin.

I quit my job when my daughter was 6 months old. It was the absolute scariest thing I had ever done up to that point. Everyone thought I had lost my mind. Although I knew I was a great lawyer, I had no idea how to get business or how to run a law firm.

So I did what we all do, and I just began.

I started Vero Law Group in the basement of my house and focused the firm on helping entrepreneurs build successful businesses. In the first six months of work, I made $12,000. I was distraught and so stressed about money. And it wasn’t like I was sitting around: I was hustling to get clients, taking care of my daughter part-time and working most nights on the business.

That reality – only $12,000 in six months – led me to search for an answer. I knew there must be a way for me to build a successful business, I just needed to find out how.

Five years later, we’ve had over 400 clients and are one of the top business law firms in Los Angeles. In the process, I have truly become a different person in business and in life.
